Hi. I go by Urghburgh and I'm a big fan of miku and i wanted to make this website cuz' i want to be connected but not through social media.

there's this video by CSGhostAnimations on Youtube that talks about flipnote studio...

there's a point where he talks about how unique it was that the entire community was made of creators rather than consumers of content, which made for more meaningful discussions on projects and in a way forced one to appreciate the creator's perspective.

most of this is lost in modern social media. I find myself being closer to the consumer group rather than the creator group, which put me as well as millions of others in the position of devouring another's years-long magnum opus within hours or even minutes. the way i see it, the only way to truly appreciate such efforts is to make things like that yourself. this is where that personal web thing i keep hearing about comes in. It's a community of many people who have made websites by hand, and connected to each other without algorhythm, and a community of mostly creators rather than consumers. every guestbook i've seen is filled with positivity, with links to other's sites, showing that not only do these people exist, but that they lived. This is a great deal of rambling just to say that i think that neocities and ohers like nekoweb are pretty neat
